Most offers include basic cover, and booking stays simple: you normally need a passport, a driving licence, a phone number and a payment card. At Moroccan airports a car is handed over either at a desk in the arrivals hall or at an office in the car park a short walk away. Which one applies to your booking is written on the voucher, and the walk is usually what explains a lower price.

A deposit is standard and is blocked on the main driver's credit card at handover. The dirham is a closed currency you cannot buy before you arrive, so a cash deposit is usually taken in euro instead — confirm which the desk expects.
Read the exclusions before you plan a desert day. The unsurfaced pistes south of the Atlas are outside the cover on most tariffs, along with tyres, glass, the underbody and sand damage.
